Compositions

PreviousElement TypesNextCurrent Content Properties

Last updated 1 month ago

Compositions are a way of sharing common properties and property settings between content types or element types.

Some examples of this would be shared common meta data (Page Title, Meta Description, SEO Property) between content pages. Or some settings used on all element types.

This enables you to create and update in one place, then any content type or element type that implements your composition, automatically gets the updates. This saves you time updating several content types or element types with the same settings.

Using Compositions

Once you have created your composition and added everything you need to it, you can select the compositions on content types or element types that you would like the use on the system tab.

Just check the ones you want to use and save your content type/element type.

Removing Compositions

It goes without saying, if you remove a composition or remove a property, then all data will be lost. So use carefully.
